Last night (6/11), I went out drinking in Hollywood with my friends. My best friend from high school flew out to LA from the east coast for the wedding and I wanted to take her out drinking in Hollywood. She'd been out a couple of times before but we mostly did sight seeing then. This time I just wanted to hang out and have fun. Two of my other friends met up with us and shenanigans ensued. They wanted to treat it as my bachelorette party. We had so much fun! I hadn't seen my friend from the east coast since 2010 when she came out for a few days before we left for our girl's trip to Japan. It was so great to catch up and hang out. It was just like old times.
We started off at Pig N' Whistle (British pub) for drinks/food. I wanted to go to Supperclub (dance club with aerial showgirls) afterward but it was closed so we went to Harvard and Stone (bar) instead and then Jumbo's Clown Room (strip club). I like Jumbo's because it's more performance and tricks based instead of just stripping. There's usually a theme to each dance and sometimes the dancers use props. The four of us all take pole dancing classes so it was a good time to watch and appreciate the performances. We realistically wanted to find a pole to dance on and do some tricks but we didn't really know of any place like that. We ended the night at Pour Vous. It's a bar but my friend who suggested it said they sometimes have aerial performers there. Of course, it was a Wednesday night so there were no performances and hardly anyone even there. They had a trolly car in the back outside so we hung out in it. We decided we could do a bunch of tricks using the straps in the trolly car so we started inverting on it. I did a single elbow hang which was actually really stupid of me. We were all really drunk and having a good time but afterward I realized that I was going to have bruises on my arm that were not going to clear up before the wedding. Elbow hangs and elbow holds always leave red bruises that look like track marks. We stayed until close. It was 2am, we were all really drunk and decided to take a picture of ourselves being cute while we waited outside for Joe to come pick us up. At least in our minds we were still looking cute. Realistically we probably just looked drunk and tired. I posed with my friend and she uploaded it to Facebook. She asked me what we should call it and I suggested #HotOClock. Everyone started laughing. It was a really good time and definitely memorable. I love having a fun girl's night out!
I wore my black criss cross dress again with my Rachel Roy heels. It was the perfect outfit.
